SLD Officially Announces Window Dates |

The SLD today officially announced the opening and closing dates of the E-rate Funding Year 2008 Form 471 filing window. The filing window will open at noon Eastern Time on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 and close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, February 7, 2008.
This means that applicants will have 93 days in which to file their applications for funding for the upcoming E-rate funding year. Thursday, January 10, 2008 is the last date on which a Form 470 may be filed in time to be referenced on a Funding Year 2008 request .
Last week at its quarterly board meeting, USAC approved the closing of the filing window for January 25, 2008. However, today the Schools and Libraries committee held a non-quarterly meeting to take up "Reconsideration of Funding Year 2008 Filing Window Closing Date." During this meeting the closing date was changed to February 7, 2008. |
