| SLD Releases FY 2006 Funding Wave |

On February 6, 2008, the SLD released a wave featuring $2.3 Million in approved requests for Funding Year 2006. This wave also includes almost the same amount in reductions and rejections. The largest approvals in this wave, totaling $1.93 Million, were for requests made by American Samoa SEA for the Telecommunications Services and Basic Maintenance categories. Rejections of note in this wave include $1.76 Million in denials associated with Technology Advantage LLC and various applicants in Wisconsin. A total of 32 requests were denied for nine applicants associated with this service provider. The denials show that the SLD believes a violation in the competitive bidding process occurred.
