In this week's round of funding commitments, the SLD has issued commitments totaling almost $39 million for Funding Years 2007 and 2008. In the Funding Year 2008 wave, the SLD issued commitments of $38.73 million to over 1,100 applicants.

This wave included no denials of requests. This is the first time a regular funding wave has included no reductions or denials since October 2005, when the SLD released Wave 35 of Funding Year 2004.

Funding Year 2007 Wave 51

In the SLD's wave for 2007, the SLD committed funding to four applicants totaling $190,000, and rejected funding requests for one applicant. To date, the SLD has committed $2.33 billion for funding year 2007. There is currently just over $600 million remaining to be decided.
