Funds For Learning Debuts Stimulus Webinar Series for Schools
March 16, 2009

Company Discusses Funding Opportunities Available through the Stimulus Package

EDMOND, OKLA. (March 16, 2009) – The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which was signed into law by President Barack Obama on Feb. 17, provides $787.2 billion to stimulate the economy through tax relief, job creation and a wide array of spending programs.  This package includes significant funding for education initiatives, but there are strict guidelines governing how these funds may be spent.  This complicates matters for school administrators seeking to identify which components they can use to benefit their education community.

To help schools take advantage of this opportunity, Funds For Learning is conducting a one-hour webinar on March 26 to discuss the stimulus package and how it relates to education.  The event also will cover the stimulus package’s effect on funding streams available through NCLB.

In addition to the initial one-hour webinar, Funds For Learning will conduct follow-up webinars in April and May to bring educators up-to-date on developments related to the stimulus package and how the money is being spent.  Attendees will receive a briefing paper, along with regular updates during the March through May timeframe.

The cost to attend this webinar series is $250 per individual.  For more information, or to register for the series, visit www.fundsforlearning.com/docs/2009/03/EconStimulusforSchools.html.
