On January 24th the SLD sent letters to two applicants notifying them that their 2002 funding requests have been denied. This leaves less than two dozen potentially fundable applications for funding year 2002. The SLD has committed $2,219,139,865 for funding year 2002 with $7,046,134 still pending. The pending requests consist of $3,129,141 for the telecommunications category, $1,171,217 for the internet access category and $2,745,776 for internal connections.
