USAC Seeks Independent Auditor for E-rate Risk Assessment

The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) has issued an RFP for a Risk Assessment of the School and Libraries Support Mechanism. USAC is seeking a detailed audit of their internal controls and an assessment of their processes to protect the program from waste, fraud and abuse. The assessment seeks to evaluate whether USAC’s administrative resources are appropriately targeted and to verify if USAC has addressed the concerns raised by the September 2010 GAO E-rate Audit Report.

The RFP for the auditing services proposal was released on October 8, 2012 and the closing date is November 19, 2012.
