On August 12, 2019, FCC Chairman Pai announced that he will be restructuring the Enforcement Bureau and will be creating a dedicated Universal Service Fraud Division to combat, investigate and pursue fraud within the four Universal Service Fund programs. Chairman Pai also released a Enforcement Bureau Order to make this change official and in the Order the FCC states that the “…Commission rigorously polices Fund participants to ensure compliance with program rules and to protect against waste, fraud and abuse…”
