SLD Releases FY 2005 and FY 2007 Funding Waves; More Appeal Waves

This week the SLD committed $24.3 million in FY 2007 and funded $1.8 million in FY 2005 projects. Approximately $4 million in priority two requests were funded this week for FY 2007 applications at the 90% discount rate.The FCC has not yet approved the USAC Board’s recommendation to fund FY 2007 priority two applications at the 83% discount rate and above, but should do so in the next few funding waves. The last FY 2005 funding wave was July 3rd and the SLD has notified all remaining applicants the reasons for the funding delay. To date, the SLD has committed $926.2 million and has $2.7 billion pending in FY 2007 and has committed $2.1 billion in FY 2005 and has $211.2 million still pending.
