The Schools and Libraries Division said May 22 that some of the funding commitment letters it has distributed for the 2002 funding year may incorrectly characterize the approved threshold for internal connections requests.
The SLD said these letters say that the "Funding cap will not provide for Internal Connections less than 90 percent discount to be funded." The SLD said that it has not yet determined whether sufficient funds will be available for internal connections requests at 80 percent or higher. It has determined that requests below 80 percent cannot be funded.
