USAC announced the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC) Administrative Window opens Wednesday, October 21, 2026, and it’ll close shortly before the FY2027 Form 471 filing window kicks off early next year.
As a reminder, this is the time to go into EPC to review and correct your entity profile before it locks and becomes the basis for next year’s funding. USAC pulls your entity information from your EPC profile, so if anything’s changed since your last application, this is your window to correct it.
A few things worth doing early instead of last-minute:
- Update enrollment and National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) data first. This drives your discount rate.
- Double-check your Category Two budget numbers. Enrollment or square footage changes flow straight into that budget.
- Clean up the basics. Organization name, address, contacts, any new sites, bookmobiles, kiosks. Whatever has changed since last year.
- Libraries: confirm square footage and main branch.
- Write down what you changed and include valid third-party documentation. This will help you during Program Integrity Assurance (PIA) review.
- If you are part of a consortium, give your coordinator a heads-up early. One profile change can ripple across everyone.
The struggle here isn’t the work itself, it’s timing. Last cycle’s administrative window closed in mid-January. October may sound far off, but the administrative window disappears quickly once the holidays hit.
