SLD Releases Funding Year 2011 Demand Estimate

The SLD has announced that the Funding Year 2011 demand estimate is $4.31 billion based on 44,139 Forms 471 received or postmarked before the filing deadline of March 24. Of the $4.31 billion demand, Priority One services (telecommunications and internet access) and Priority Two services (internal connections and basic maintenance) constitute $2.173 billion and $2.137 billion, respectively.

The total demand estimate for Funding Year 2011 increased by approximately $394 million from Funding Year 2010 with demand for Priority One services increasing 6.6 percent and Priority Two services increasing 13.8 percent (from $2.038 billion and $1.878 billion, respectively).
