On March 7, 2023, representatives from Funds For Learning met with the FCC to discuss several topics, including:
- Cybersecurity Pilot Program Notice of Proposed Rulemaking – FFL reiterated support for the cybersecurity Pilot.
- Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for off-premises use of Wi-Fi hotspots – FFL encouraged the Commission to offer E-rate discounts for Wi-Fi hotspots and to extend that support beyond cellular Wi-Fi to include functionally equivalent technologies, provided they are determined to be cost-effective options.
- Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on proposed changes to improve the E-rate program – FFL supports several E-rate program changes suggested in the E-rate FNPRM.
