2003 and 2004 Funding Waves Released

On August 9, the SLD sent out a small wave and notified 7 applicants of the status of their 2004 funding in wave 28. The wave funded $2,245,000. The SLD has committed $2,271,228,101 and have $315 million still pending.

The SLD committed $217,000 this week in Funding Wave 40b in 2003. That brings the total 2003 funding commitments to $2,675,398,946 with $1,553,954,524 actually disbursed which is a 58% utilization rate to date. There is still $66 million pending in 2003.

Schools were denied over $550,000 this funding wave because they could not prove to the SLD they had secured access to funds need to pay their share of the charges. More information on this issue can be found at the SLD website at http://www.sl.universalservice.org/reference/obligation.asp.
