FCC Seeks USF Support

On February 9, 2016, President Obama submitted his overall budget request to Congress which included the FY 2017 Federal Communications Commission (FCC) budget request. The FCC will be asking Congress for authority to transfer $9.5 million from the Universal Service Fund (USF) to cover costs related to oversight and enforcement of the Universal Service Fund Programs.  The Universal Service Fund programs include the schools and libraries E-rate program.
