On June 8, 2016 the FCC released a Public Notice announcing that they have enough resources to pay for every Category One and Category Two request that is eligible and compliant with the rules and regulations. The FCC has directed USAC to use $1.9 billion in unused funds to carry forward to use for FY 2016 in order to ensure that they have sufficient budget to cover every request. In FY 2015, the FCC had directed USAC to fund all eligible requests as well. USAC has already begun to review FY 2016 applications and the first funding wave should be announced in the coming weeks.
