Urgent E-rate Deadlines Require Attention

There are two dates that require applicants’ immediate consideration: updating entity profile data in EPC and submitting payment paperwork. Applicants are also reminded that the Form 471 filing window opens at noon EST on February 27, 2017.

Entity Profile Updates (Feb 24/26)
The deadline to add or delete sites from a FY2017 funding application is Friday, February 24, 2017. This is because additions or deletions of entities from an applicant profile require working directly with the USAC Customer Service Bureau (CSB). Applicants have until Friday, February 24, 2017, at 8:00pm EST to contact the CSB.

Applicants also have a deadline of Sunday, February 26 at 11:59pm Eastern to update their site names, addresses, and enrollment and NSLP data in the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC) system. After this deadline, all site information will be locked for the duration of the Form 471 filing window. Additionally, USAC has announced that the EPC system will be unavailable because of system maintenance from 7:00pm to 10:00pm Eastern on February 26.

Invoice Submission (Feb 27)
Many funding requests have a February 27, 2017, deadline for the submission of payment paperwork. Funding requests which originally had an October 28, 2016 invoice deadline (e.g. FY2015 recurring services), and were granted an extension, now have until Monday, February 27, 2017 for the submission of payment paperwork.  No further invoice deadline extensions can be granted for these applications.  Applicants and service providers are encouraged to double check that invoicing is complete and that all related documentation is in order (Forms 498, etc) before the Monday deadline.
