Upcoming Tribal Telecom Workshop

On July 31, 2018, the FCC will conduct a Tribal workshop at the Lac Du Flambeau Reservation in Wisconsin. The workshop will include an introduction on various proceedings and programs of Tribal interest including overviews of the Universal Service Fund, the Tribal Radio Priority and information tied to the Mobility Fund Phase. To register for the workshop, send your name, title, Tribal affiliation, and contact information to native@fcc.gov

While there are dozens of tribal and Indian schools that apply for E-rate discounts, the Bureau of Indian Education as part of the U.S. Department of Interior also applies on behalf of many of the tribal schools and requested $11.7 million in FY2018 that is still being reviewed.
Further details of the FCC telecommunications workshop can be viewed here.
