On August 17, 2018, the FCC announced that there is sufficient funding available to meet the requested amount for all Category One and Category Two E-rate applications. The SLD reported the estimated demand for FY2018 is $2.77 billion and the FCC’s funding cap for FY2018 is $4.06 billion. In FY2015, the demand for Voice services was $505.5 million. Due to the phase out the requested amount for Voice services in FY2018 is only $23 million. Also, USAC projected a total of $1.2 billion in unused funds from previous years that is available for use in FY2018.
