FCC Seeks Nomination for USAC Board

On September 7, 2018, the FCC announced that they are seeking nominations for six Board Member Positions on the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) Board of Directors. Each Board Member position is for a three year term. USAC is the designated vehicle of distribution of the federal Universal Service Fund (USF) by the FCC. It is governed by a board of directors representing a variety of stakeholders who possess a high degree of familiarity in various telecommunications issues.  

Nominations are due October 8, 2018.

The FCC is seeking representatives from:

  • Schools;
  • Information Service Providers
  • Rural Healthcare Providers
  • State Telecommunications Regulators
  • Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers
  • Interexchange Carriers
