On November 2, 2018, the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) released their Quarterly Report with projections for the first quarter of 2019. USAC projects that $1.2 billion will be available to carry forward for future funding years. Also, USAC projects a consolidated operating and capital budget of $57.05 million for 1Q2019. The Schools and Libraries portion is 42% of the total budget estimated at $24.44 million.
Due to the FCC transferring USF to the U.S. General Treasury, USAC held additional “outreach calls” to companies that contribute to the USF, E-rate beneficiaries and other stakeholder groups to inform them of the new banking process in light of the changes.
