Comments on Proposed E-rate Bidding Rules Due March 28

On January 27, 2022, the FCC published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) in the Federal Register, that seeks comments on proposed E-rate competitive bidding rules. “…Specifically, the Commission seeks comment on a proposal to implement a central document repository (i.e., bidding portal) through which service providers would be required to submit bids to the E-Rate program administrator, the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), instead of directly to applicants…” Stakeholders can submit comments electronically, identified by WC Docket No. 21–455, at www.fcc.gov/ecfs.
