Cybersecurity Pilot Reminder: Form 470 Due August 18

Schools and libraries selected for the FCC’s Cybersecurity Pilot have four days to certify the Pilot FCC Form 470. The filing deadline is Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET in the Cybersecurity Pilot Program portal.

This date matters because certifying Form 470 starts the 28-day competitive bidding interval. Filing by August 18 preserves the full period before the September 15 application window close, positioning applicants to finish their procurement and move to the next filings on time. The Allowable Contract Date appears after posting and marks when a contract may be signed and a Form 471 may be certified.

The next milestone is Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. By that deadline, Pilot participants should submit the Pilot FCC Form 471 and complete the Pilot FCC Form 484 Part 2. A Form 471 is required to request funding. Failure to complete Form 484 Part 2 by the window close can result in removal from the Pilot.

Meeting the submission deadlines for Forms 470, 471, and 484 Part 2 is not just a procedural obligation—it is a vital requirement for maintaining eligibility within the Cybersecurity Pilot Program. As the deadlines approach, prompt action and careful attention to detail will ensure participants remain on track and able to take full advantage of the program’s resources and support.

Action today: Log in to the Cybersecurity Pilot Program portal and certify the Pilot Form 470. Confirm your scope and timeline, and organize any needed procurement documentation so the 28-day period concludes in time to finalize your service provider selection and submit September filings.
