The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) has begun a search for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead administration of the Federal Communications Commission’s Universal Service Fund, including the E‑rate program that supports broadband and connectivity for schools and libraries.
USAC, an independent, not‑for‑profit organization designated by the FCC, oversees approximately $8.5 billion annually across its programs. The incoming CEO will work closely with the FCC and USAC’s Board of Directors to manage program operations, ensure compliance with FCC rules, and maintain program integrity, including preventing waste, fraud, and abuse.
The role includes oversight of E‑rate and other universal service programs, as well as responsibility for translating FCC policy decisions into operational processes that support applicants, service providers, and contributors.
