USAC Spokeswoman to Depart

Jodie Pozo-Olano, deputy director for external relations of the Universal Service Administrative Company, will leave, effective Oct. 8, to become a senior associate in the Washington office of The Widmeyer-Baker Group, a media relations and public affairs firm.

Pozo-Olano joined the Schools and Libraries Division in late 1997, after working at the Federal Communications Commission as a public affairs specialist. When the SLD was merged with USAC on Jan. 1, 1999, she became its primary spokesperson, working with all four of the universal service programs that USAC runs.

Pozo-Olano's departure will follow by about a month the departure of Mickey Revenaugh, her one-time boss, who stepped down in early September as vice president of outreach of the SLD to join Broadband Networks Inc.
