Letters approving more than $52 million in discounts were issued by the Schools and Libraries Division (SLD) on April 28. With its third wave of funding commitments, the SLD has approved $306 million of funding requests from schools and libraries. Funding for priority one services — telecommunications services and Internet access — comprises 71% of that total to date. The SLD is continuing to approve eligible internal connections requests down to the 88% discount level.
