Pace of Funding Commitments Continues to Slow

The Schools and Libraries Division issued $15.3 million in 151 commitment decision letters on Sep. 1. This is a 38 percent reduction in the amount of funding committed compared to last week. This brings the total funds committed for Year 3 to just over $1.54 billion. The average funding commitment per letter is $101,324.

This year's pace is well behind Year 2, when the SLD finished the funding commitment process in a total of 20 weekly waves; in Year 3 they have so far committed 68 percent of a total $2.25 billion available for distribution in 20 waves.

The approved discount threshold for internal connections requests remains at 83 percent.
