The Schools and Libraries Division announced on June 6 that it will release more than 1,450 commitment letters on Monday, June 9, committing $36.9 million for Funding Year 2003. This latest wave, the fourth, applies only to Priority One funds (telecommunications services and Internet access).
Commitments for internal connections requests will begin at a future date.
Including the June 9 notifications, the SLD has so far issued nearly 20,000 letters for Funding Year 2003, totaling about $300 million in commitments. The next wave of commitment letters for 2003 is expected the week of June 23.
