The Schools and Libraries Division's latest wave of $93.5 million will be released on Tuesday, Sept. 9. This latest funding wave (#11) will grow the SLD's overall commitments for the 2003 funding year to $970.9 million. Thus far, more than 27,600 Funding Commitment Decision Letters have been mailed to applicants for 2003. The September 9 wave pertains to Priority One telecommunications services and Internet access at all discount levels, and Priority Two internal connections at the 85-percent discount level.(The wave is being released on a Tuesday, instead of the usual Monday time frame, as a result of the Labor Day holiday on September 1.) The next funding wave (#12) is scheduled to be released on Monday, September 22.
