The SLD continues to release funding waves on a weekly basis. On July 26th the SLD released wave 26 for the 2004 funding year. In that wave, the SLD notified 25 applicants and committed approximately $2.15 million. The SLD has committed close to $2.27 billion in 2004 with $332.2 million pending. Applicants and service providers still have time to submit reimbursement forms to the SLD and as of July 27 only $465 million has been disbursed for the 2004 funding year which is 21% of the committed funds.
On July 20 wave 4 for funding year 2005 was announced in which 449 applicants received funding letters totaling $18.17 million in commitments. The SLD has not yet started to send out commitment letters for internal connections for the 2005 funding year.
