Congressional Hearing on FCC’s E-rate Plans on Katrina

On October 6 the House Energy and Commerce Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee plans to conduct an oversight hearing on “FCC’s E-rate Plans to Assist Gulf Coast Recovery”. Witnesses have not yet been announced. The hearing is scheduled for 1pm EDT.

As previously reported, the FCC will waive certain rules and deadlines for those schools and libraries affected by the hurricane as well as set aside universal service dollars specifically for those applicants to use at a future date.
