USAC Issues Quarterly Report

USAC filed its quarterly report to the FCC and revealed that they still project $365 million from previous years that can be rolled over into future funding years. This estimate is based on having the contingency funds available for pending appeals or remaining invoices that still may need to be paid.

USAC estimates that it has:

  • $15 million available from FY 1999
  • $200 million available from FY 2002
  • $150 million available from FY 2003

USAC reports that the SLD is still reviewing applications from Funding Years 2001-2004 and will continue to issue funding commitment decision letters as applications get processed.

  • FY 2001 – 2 potentially fundable applications ( no change from the last quarterly report)
  • FY 2002 – 16 potentially fundable applications (down from 24 from the last quarterly report)
  • FY 2003 – 39 potentially fundable applications (down from 49 from the last quarterly report)
  • FY 2004 – 177 potentially fundable applications (down from 213 from the last quarterly report)
