SLD Commits $15 Million in 2006; $8 Million in 2005

This week the SLD notified over 325 applicants and 325 service providers about the status of their 2006 funding requests, committing $15 million. The SLD has committed $619,754,270 and still has $2,807,663,430 pending for Funding Year 2006.

The SLD also committed nearly $8 million for Funding Year 2005. For 2005, $1,705,401,850 has been committed and $731,160,964 remains pending. According to a Funds For Learning analysis, the SLD still has $207,795,763.79 pending for Priority Two applications at the 84% discount level and above, and $343,647,307.21 is pending for Priority Two applications at 83% and below. There is no indication when the SLD will start issuing priority two commitments below the 84% level.
