SLD Starts to Deny FY 2006 Priority Two Requests at 85% Discount Rate

The SLD released two FY 2006 funding waves and one FY 2007 funding wave this week. On June 8th the USAC Schools and Libraries Committee recommended to the FCC that the FY 2006 discount threshold should be set at 86% and this week the SLD starting denying the applications at the 85% discount rate. Nearly $46 million at the 85% discount rate was denied in Wave 58. It took a few weeks for the FCC to approve that recommendation.

  • FY 2007 Wave 10 – Committed $23.7 million
  • FY 2006 Wave 57 – Committed $40 million
  • FY 2006 Wave 58 – Committed $23,414
