FCC Announces Change in Location for Hand-Delivered Filings

Effective December 28, 2009, the Federal Communications Commission will only accept hand-delivered or messenger-delivered filings for the Commission’s Secretary, such as E-rate appeals and NPRM comments, at its headquarters. The address to which paper filings sent via the Postal Service or overnight services (e.g. FedEx, UPS, and others) remains the same.

After the change goes into effect, hand-delivered or messenger-delivered will be accepted at FCC Headquarters. The new location is:

Federal Communications Commission
Office of the Secretary
445 12th Street, SW,
Room TW-A325
Washington, DC 20554

In its public notice announcing the change, the FCC encourages all filers to use the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System to facilitate the filing of documents.
