On February 26, 2010, the USAC Schools and Libraries Committee recommended to the FCC that sufficient funds were available to satisfy Funding Year 2009 priority two applications at discount levels of 78% and above. The FCC recently approved USAC’s recommendation. As a result, this week the SLD notified 36 applicants with FY2009 requests at 78% and 79% that their applications have been funded. Approximately $1.4 million was approved for applicants at the 78% level, and another $1.4 million was for applicants at 79%.
As of May 26, 2010, there are two applicants with FY2009 priority two requests at 78% and 79% which are still pending.
