President Obama Nominates Michael O’Rielly for FCC Commissioner

The White House announced on August 1, 2013, the President’s nomination of Michael P. O’Rielly to be an FCC Commissioner. If appointed, Mr. O’Rielly will serve the remainder of Robert M. McDowell’s term, which expires June 30, 2014. O’Rielly currently serves as a policy adviser with Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas). Acting Chairwoman Clyburn, Commissioner Rosenworcel, and Commission Pai have issued statements on this nomination. The statements are included below.
