The SLD is reminding applicants that they can file their Funding Year 2014 Form 486 before services start, if they have received a Funding Commitment Decision Letter and their services will start in July. However, the applicant must make all the relevant certifications and check the early filing box in order to have a compliant Form 486 that may be accepted.
According to a Funds For Learning analysis, 5,521 FY 2014 applicants have already had their Form 486 processed, totaling $384.1 million worth of commitments.
