FFL Urges Commission Not to Eliminate Voice Services

On April 29, 2015 Funds For Learning responded to an FCC’s Petition for Reconsideration on the regulatory question of phasing out voice services. Funds For Learning is requesting that the FCC reconsider their position, and not phase out voice services from the E-rate program.

As ordered in the FCC’s 7thReport & Order, voice services, including plain old telephone service, cellular, and VoIP, will be phased down by 20 percentage points, each funding year until the service is no longer eligible for E-rate support. This phase down began in FY 2015.
