On June 24, 2015, USAC published a Special Edition News Brief announcing that their new customer portal will be available by the end of next week. The E-rate Productivity Center (or EPC, pronounced "epic") is the first phase of USAC's updated IT system, and further News Briefs will provide more details as to how (and when) EPC should be used.
USAC states that the first phase of EPC will allow account administrators to:
- "Create other users and set their permissions (full rights, partial rights, or view-only rights)
- Update their entity information (school districts, library systems, independent schools, independent libraries)
- Ask a question or submit a request, such as filing an appeal or requesting a service substitution."
