USAC Releases 2016 Demand Estimate

On June 6, 2016, the Universal Service Company (USAC) released their annual demand estimate filed with the Federal Communications Commission.  USAC estimates the demand for FY 2016 at $3.609 billion of which $2.330 billion is for Category One and $1.279 billion for Category Two. USAC estimates that the projected demand coming out of the second filing window for consortia and libraries will be a total of $434 million and USAC will update their demand estimate after the second filing window closes.
