Sprint announced on October 11, 2016 that over the next five years they will be distributing free mobile devices and free high-speed wireless connectivity to one million low income high school students. This initiative will help close the “homework gap” that millions of students face when they come home with little or no Internet connectivity and expected to complete homework assignments online. There will be an application process for school districts to apply for this program and further information on this project can be viewed here.
