On September 4, 2018, the American Library Association (ALA) submitted a letter to the FCC requesting that the 2018 USAC Fall E-rate Training dates get released. Each year, USAC provides a Washington, DC training in early October in which many state level education and library E-rate experts attend where they can learn about new rules and guidance that they need to then provide to schools and libraries in their respective states. Historically, USAC has alerted state level E-rate coordinators about the training dates in the July time frame which enables them to get the resources and schedule the logistics to come to the DC E-rate training and this year the dates have not yet been announced.
