Kansas Town Closes Homework Gap

On Friday, September 20, 2019, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai visited Council Grove, Kansas to observe the town’s efforts to provide Internet access school buses. The Wichita Eagle reports that the “Wi-Fi equipped buses were made possible by a partnership between the Morris County school system, the national Consortium for School Networking and Google.” Called “Rolling Study Halls,” Superintendent Aron Dody reports that many District parents “can’t afford, or in some cases even get, internet service at their homes.”
