130,418 Reasons Why E-rate Matters

In Funding Year 2021, E-rate applicants requested discounts on Internet and data services which will be delivered to 130,418 individual school and library locations nationwide.  While the amount of funds requested in Category One declined for the fourth consecutive year, the number of sites supported by C1 services rose to a seven-year high:

Whether applicants requested $22.98 (the smallest total amount requested by a single applicant for C1 services in FY2021) or $46,658,538.00 (the largest), it is clear that schools and libraries nationwide consistently rely on the E-rate program to keep their sites connected.
