On November 1, 2021, the SHLB Coalition met with FCC Commissioner Simington and his advisers to discuss E-rate, Universal Service Fund (USF), and other issues. According to the Ex Parte filed November 4, 2021, the SHLB Coalition expressed support for providing E-rate funding for cybersecurity expenses as well as support for the proposal to expand the base of revenues for the USF to include broadband internet access revenues.
