As of August 19, 2025, no funding commitments have been issued for Bus Wi-Fi or Hotspot Service requests under the FY2025 E-rate program. Applicants requested more than $65 million in total, with about $50 million for Bus Wi-Fi and $15 million for Hotspot services.
All FY2025 applications for these services remain in a pending status. This impacts 1,259 applicants nationwide, including 446 applicants for Bus Wi-Fi and 813 applicants for Hotspot services.

Each of these states sought over $1 million for Bus Wi-Fi and around $2 million for Hotspot services, while California requested over $25 million.
