SLD Revises Invoicing Deadlines

The Schools and Libraries Division has revised the deadline it had set for postmarked Service Provider Invoices and BEAR forms, stipulating that they will be due within 120 days of the service end date or the receipt of a Form 486 acknowledgement letter, whichever is later.

The SLD had previously stipulated that the forms would be due within 90 days of those events, but changed its policy after applicants complained that they would have difficulty completing BEAR forms for recurring services in the 2001 funding year by the original postmark deadline of Sept. 28, 2002.

Special deadlines apply in cases where applicants received 1999 or 2000 funding year commitments later than usual. More information is available at http://www.sl.universalservice.org.
