The Schools and Libraries Division will release its latest wave of funding commitments on Tuesday, October 21. That wave (#14) will bring the SLD's total commitments for the 2003 funding year, to date, to just over $1.2 billion. This latest funding of $59.4 million will come through 327 commitment letters to E-rate applicants. (Internal connections remains at the 85 percent threshold.) Thus far, more than 28,500 commitment letters have been issued by the SLD for the 2003 funding year. The next wave is expected to be announced on Halloween, October 31, and released on Tuesday, November 4.
