The Schools and Libraries Division announced July 16 that on July 20 it will begin issuing funding commitments for 2004 internal connections at the 90 percent level.
This latest wave (#8) of funding commitments will total over $328 million – the largest wave of the 2004 funding year – in 2,808 letters. The SLD announcement did not indicate what portion of that would represent internal connections.
So far, the SLD has approved $702.9 million in commitments for the 2004 funding year, which is about $45 million less than the amount approved this time last year.
