Four applicants were notified of the status of their 2002 applications on August 1st. Most of the $21 million in committed funds went to the Puerto Rico Department of Education. They have been subject to several audits in the past and it appears as some of the issues have been resolved. That brings the total 2002 committed amount to $2,234,767,319.
The SLD has still not indicated when priority two funding waves will be released for the 2005 funding year.
